The most famous of our House's wines was born in 1876 to satisfy the demanding taste of Tsar Alexander II. The emperor asked Louis Roederer to reserve for him each year the best cuvée of the House, which he particularly appreciated. To accentuate its uniqueness, this exceptional champagne will be packaged in a glass bottle with a flat bottom. Since then, it will bear the name of this precious material that exalts its transparency and light.
