The men of Beychevelle have always ruled their land nobly and brought glory to the castle.
Since its construction in 1565 by Bishop Francis of Foix-Candale, the reign of the Dukes of Epernon, its reconstruction in 1757 by the Marquis of Brassier and later expanded by the Heine family, followed by the Achille-Fould family until 1986, the castle has never ceased to surprise visitors, both for its vineyard and its exceptional surroundings.
The reputation and extraordinary beauty of Beychevelle would not be what it is today without the help of notable women, such as Marie-Amélie Kohn, Madame Guestier and Madame Heine, Marie-Louise Fould and Lillette, who have marked its history, developing its decorative style , its halo of hospitality and its beautiful gardens.
Today, Beychevelle Castle belongs to Grands Millésimes de France, which is part of the Castel and Suntory groups, represented by Mr. Nobuhiro TORII.
