2018 Lucien Aviet Arbois Cuvee des Geologues Nonceau

Caveau de Bacchus is based in Montigny, in the Jura region. It was founded in 1961 by Lucien Aviet, who was joined by his son Vincent in 1999. Lucien Aviet is still heavily involved, but his son is now gradually taking over. Consisting of a small 6 hectares, the vineyard has a traditionalist bent. The wines are harvested entirely by hand and destemmed. Spontaneous fermentations take place in large, old, and very well-maintained Alsatian vats. The bottles have always been sealed with wax, and today they form part of the wines' hallmark.
