These wines are highly coveted. They're pronounced (Vahhh-sen-House) and are made in the Baden region of Germany. The soil is pure limestone, which gives this Pinot Noir incredible energy. Some would say this wine is a gateway wine to the rest of the range, and I wholeheartedly agree. Once you fall in love with the reds, their Chardonnays are literally the bomb. The wine is Grand Cru level, meaning it's cut from the same cloth as some of the best in the region. A sip is like eating a crisp pomegranate in the middle of the Black Forest. It seems to have Burgundy in its DNA, but this Pinot Noir is truly unique. Serving temperature: 18°C (cellar temperature) or a chilled twist. Pairing: Mushroom-crusted pork chop, crispy roasted potatoes.">Their second wine, the 2021 Epu, comes from the same terroir and vineyard in Puente Alto as Almaviva, but from younger vines, averaging around 12 years old. The 2021 blend is 80% TP3T Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% TP3T Carmenere, and 5% TP3T Merlot (no Cabernet Franc this year). It has a ripe, heady nose, with 14,68% alcohol (15% TP3T on the label), soft acidity, and intense notes of red pepper, ripe blackberries, and cassis, with some oak spice. It matured for a year in French barriques—only 10% new and 9% second-use. It has slightly less structure and softer tannins, making it more approachable than previous years—a profile that seems to be the signature of the year. It's medium to full-bodied, with velvety, more polished tannins, and is more delicate and less concentrated, with more finesse. But I find them quite homogeneous and regular, this year without raisins or dried grapes, and in this vintage it feels open and expressive. 80,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2023.

[127,371

post-12000","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-chile","product_cat-valle-de-aconcagua","pa_bodega-almaviva","pa_cosecha-321","pa_tipo-de-vino-red-wine","pa_varietal-cabernet-franc","pa_varietal-cabernet-sauvignon","pa_varietal-carmenere","pa_varietal-merlot","first","instock","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
["GET
