The winery is located in Villafranca del Bierzo, province of Le\u00f3n. La Vizca\u00edna El Rapolao is made from the\u00a0<span tabindex=\"0\" role=\"tooltip\"><span class=\"c5aZPb\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" data-enable-toggle-animation=\"true\" data-extra-container-classes=\"ZLo7Eb\" data-hover-hide-delay=\"1000\" data-hover-open-delay=\"500\" data-send-open-event=\"true\" data-theme=\"0\" data-width=\"250\" data-ved=\"2ahUKEwjYtKL2nbONAxUSGLkGHfqUC_MQmpgGegQIFxAD\"><span class=\"JPfdse\" data-bubble-link=\"\" data-segment-text=\"Menc\u00eda\">Menc\u00eda<\/span><\/span><\/span> and small percentages of the Alicante Bouschet, Estaladina and Souson varieties.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The grapes come from north-facing vineyards planted on clay- and iron-rich soils, located on the Valtuille de Abajo estate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">To produce La Vizca\u00edna El Rapolao, fermentation takes place in 5,000 l wooden tanks.
