2021 Oxer Bastegieta Marko

Marko is one of the wines produced by Oxer Bastegieta, a young Basque winemaker who cultivates his century-old vineyards using regenerative agriculture, resulting in unique and highly acclaimed wines. Enamored with Rioja Alavesa, he decided to invest in this region to bring his winemaking art to the world. A distinguishing feature of this winemaker is his interest and respect for the old plots, which he seeks to immortalize his wines. Therefore, his wines involve minimal intervention in the winery and his vineyards are cultivated organically. Each of his wines has its own message and represents his unique way of seeing the world.

Marko refers to the Oxer family farm and represents respect for nature and the farm. It is made with a combination of 55% Hondarribi Zuri Zerratia, 40% Hondarribi Zuri, and 5% Izkiriota Handia grapes. It is aged for four months on its lees. Oxer Marko is a fresh and fruity white wine with a smooth palate.
