2022 Jean-Paul & Charly Thevenet Morgon Regine En Voiture Simone

The Jean-Paul & Charly Thevenet Morgon “Regnie En Voiture Simone” 2022 is a Beaujolais red wine, made with Gamay grapes from old vines (50 years old) on granite and schist soils. It is characterized by its minimal intervention approach, using carbonic fermentation with natural yeasts, without clarification or filtration, and with minimal addition of sulfites. The result is a young, fresh, and fruity wine with notes of red fruits, flowers, and spices, with a soft tannic structure and elegant minerality. 

 The Thévenets, father and son, practice organic viticulture and minimal intervention, seeking to highlight the expression of the terroir. They are part of the Beaujolais "Gang of Four," along with Marcel Lapierre, Guy Breton, and Jean Foillard, known for their natural and terroir-friendly approach.
