2020 Marchesi Di Barolo Barbera D'Alba RUVEI

Barbera d'Alba is the most traditional wine of Piedmont. The grapes come from vineyards arranged on calcareous clay soils, alternating with layers of whitish loam, which gives the wine an excellent structure and a vigorous but balanced personality. The Production Regulations allow Barbera d'Alba to be made with a small percentage (up to 15%) of Nebbiolo d'Alba, in order to increase its finesse and elegance. Marchesi di Barolo Winery makes use of this option which, combined with the selection of the position of the vineyards and the care of obtaining perfectly ripe grapes, results in a softer wine, structured with freshness and with greater acidity.
