2020 Tua Rita Redigaffi OWC

Tua Rita Redigaffi 2020 is a characterful Tuscan Merlot from the Tua Rita estate in Livorno, on the southern coast of Bolgheri. The high planting density of the vines ensures low yields, which give the estate's Merlot grapes a high concentration of flavor. In the winery, winemaker Luca D'Attoma uses extended maceration to optimize color, flavor, and tannic structure. The wine matures for up to 16 months in fine Burgundy oak barrels. Mature and deeply structured, Redigaffi 2020 presents intense yet silky notes of blackberry and spiced plum, followed by well-integrated spicy notes of tobacco, clove, and licorice. This is a wine that will age well for at least a decade.
