2021 Duncan Savage Syrah

Duncan enrolled at Rondebosch Boys' High School in 1995. After a few years of more surfing and less studying, Duncan finally found his niche. Once the passion for wine caught on, there was no turning back, and Duncan headed to Elsenburg. Elsenburg was followed by 14 incredible years at Cape Point Vineyards before Duncan struck out on his own in 2016, founding Savage Wines in the heart of Cape Town, on Salt River. The vineyards are leased, and the grapes are sourced from the surrounding areas of the Western Cape, maritime whenever possible. The granitic soil is key, resulting in wines of purity and finesse, a hallmark of Savage Wines.
