2018 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru

Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat has extensive vineyard properties around the heart of Noëllat, Vosne-Romanée, and covers all the villages from Nuits St Georges to Chambolle-Musigny.

Charles Hudelot arrived at the domain to replace his grandfather Alain in 2008, also assisted by Vincent Munier, who has been working there since 2005. There is no intention to deviate from the previous style of fine and fragrant wines.

Small changes include the purchase of a new destemmer that sends the grapes to the fermentation vats without crushing. The vineyards are still managed according to la lutte raisonnée, although Charles is open to an organic approach in the future. New oak remains regular, with a 20% for country wines and up to 50-60% for grand crus wines.
