2021 Domaine Jean-Marc Roulot Monthelie

Since the early 1990s, Jean-Marc has steered the estate toward organic farming. Since then, herbicides are not used and only plowing is used, while all treatments are managed to minimize any effect on the vineyards' natural microbial life. The vines are relatively old due to the major replanting carried out by Jean-Marc's father, Guy, in the 1950s. Jean-Marc believes in early and short pruning to avoid the need for green pruning later in the growing season. He aims for perfect fruit and prefers to harvest one or two days early rather than two days late. Domaine Roulot has been producing the highest quality wine in Burgundy for decades. With Jean-Marc at the helm, his wines have become even more sought-after. His wines are precise, energetic, and deeply reflect the terroir.
