2022 Cerron Winery – Stratum Wines Maulao

Bodega Cerrón is a family winery with four generations of winegrowers in Fuente-Álamo (Albacete), in the Jumilla DOP. They implement sustainable viticulture through biodynamic cultivation, seeking to recover the local plant heritage with old vineyards of native varieties.

Stratum Wines Maulao 2022 is a red wine from the Cerrón winery, produced in Jumilla, Spain, with 85% TP3T Monastrell and 15% TP3T Garnacha Tinta. This is a biodynamic wine made with grapes from old vines between 25 and 50 years old, planted in calcareous soils. The wine is spontaneously fermented in wooden vats and stainless steel drums, and aged in neutral barrels and foudres for 12 months.

Notes of ripe red fruit, black raspberry, strawberry compote, hibiscus and green pepper can be perceived. 

It's a juicy wine, with energetic acidity and notable minerality. The finish is smooth, with smoky tannic notes that don't distract from its crisp and refreshing profile.
